For a more pleasant grooming experience, take your dog on a long walk before the appointment.  Your dog will be calmer and in a better state of mind!

Be persistent!  When trying to brush your dog's teeth or clean his ears, never give up!  The more you do it, the more used to it your dog will be.  Be firm, but gentle.
